This software does precisely what its name points out: it helps you easily and quickly catalog disks. Click “Scan Disk”, select the disk that will be scanned, and Easy Disk Catalog Maker will take care of the rest. In no time at all, it will catalog the disk you select and will allow you to review the catalogued disk from its user friendly interface.
Little time and a minimal amount of effort will go into installing Easy Disk Catalog Maker on a Windows-powered PC. It is a simple procedure that goes something like this: download an installer, run the downloaded installer, follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard.
Several panes are displayed on the application’s interface: Categories/Locations/Contacts in the upper left hand corner; Disks in the upper right hand corner; Explorer down at the bottom. All of these panes can be closed. To reopen them, visit the View Menu, the Panes submenu. Or better still, use the Reset Layout option from the aforementioned View Menu. Speaking about that, go to View -> Options -> Appearance to access some nice interface customization options.
As mentioned above, using Easy Disk Catalog Maker is as simple as clicking "Scan Disk," selecting the disk that will be scanned, and waiting for the application to catalog said disk. It must be mentioned that you can access several scan options: scan disk; scan inserted disk; scan repeatedly. The results of the scan are conveniently presented on the application’s interface so you can review, edit, and manage them.
Easy Disk Catalog Maker is available as a free and as a paid version. The free version is limited to 10 disks and displays a nag screen at startup.
